THE PIGMENT:
The Corsican chestnut tree is used to produce a very delicate beige-brown pigment, making it a valuable commodity for the north of the ‘isle of beauty’. It has been used since the Baroque era to decorate majestic religious statues used in traditional processions.
Rich in antioxidants and vitamin B, C and E, chestnut pigment features incredible biological properties.
